The Sportsman’s Texaco is owned and operated
by Charles “Hutch” and Roxa Hutchins. Hutch
first visited Lake City in 1951; Roxa first visited
in 1977.
We love Lake City and it has been a long-time
dream to live here. We bought a house in 2003
and then bought the Sportsman in 2005. We
moved from Castroville, Texas after having lived
most of our lives in West Texas (Lubbock,
Lamesa, Van Horn).
Hutch taught Ag for 7 years, then worked in
crop insurance for 18 years. Roxa was an
elementary school teacher for 6 years, then
worked as a real estate appraiser for 5 years.
We have 5 kids and 2 grandbabies. Four of our
kids live in Texas; one lives in Phoenix.
